S.F. to Vote on More Fitting Name for Sewage Plant

Brian McConnell, the organizer of the grassroots effort to have the sewage plant name changed

When I say the words “meaningful election,” chances are you immediately think of McCain vs. Obama. Yes, that is a very meaningful election, but it’s not the only one on the ballot this November. Thanks to Brian McConnell of San Francisco, their city will have another important issue on their ballots: whether to rename one of their city’s sewage plants George W. Bush Sewage Plant. It’s true. McConnell and his friends got the necessary 7,168 signatures on their petitions for this to be added to the November election. McConnell said his intent is to remember the Bush administration and what he sees as the president’s mistakes, including the war in Iraq. Citizens of San Francisco, I ask you to please do the right thing and vote ‘YAY’!

Where do I sign?

Boo Hoo! What a waste of time, put your energy towards making a real difference in the country instead of mocking one of our nation’s leaders!
