Dow Down Down and the Flames Went Higher

Yesterday, the Dow closed at 8,579. This is the lowest it’s been in over five years and down nearly 40% from its record high, ironically a year ago today. Can we call it official, we’re in a depression? Sure we can, we’re Mestew Nation! Now, the most famous depression of the 1930s is known as The Great Depression. So… that name has been taken. Nation, it is now up to you to give our latest cloud of financial hardship and unemployment a name. Come up with a name and leave it in the comments section. The winner will be chosen by us and the winning name will be used anytime we reference this economic disaster in a post from here on out!

In a somewhat related note, next week, Mestew will be introducing a week-long segment titled Glory Days. Estew and I will be sharing stories and thoughts of things that got us excited when we were younger and times were simpler. As always, we encourage you to share your Glory Days stories with the rest of us.
