Enough of the Speculation! The 10 Best are…
With all the NFL playoff buzz, we have been inundated with questions of “who is the best QB of all time.” Is it Favre? Manning? Brady? Perhaps a throwback like Unitas or Tarkenton? How about Elway, Marino, or Montana? Enough is enough! If you wanted to kn ow, you should have just asked me from the beginning. Here is how I see it…
First off, let me explain that I will not rank anyone that didn’t play during my lifetimeof memory. I didn’t see them play (or was too young to remember), so they are out!
10. Drew Brees- This guy is an underrated passing machine. Yardage wise, it doesn’t get any better than him.
9. Troy Aikman- Led a dynasty. Not particularly fantastic, but has a couple rings…which is what it is all about.
8. Kurt Warner- Grocery boy has got himself a Super Bowl ring and is a former MVP. Again, an underrated yardage machine.
7. Steve Young- He managed to not skip a beat after the amazing Joe Montana retired. He was what Aaron Rodgers was suppose to be.
6. Dan Marino- This guy never managed a Super Bowl, but was an MVP. For a long time, he also owned almost every record.
5. Brett Favre- Let’s hear the boo’s cheese heads and Vikes fans. Oh wait, you both hate this guy now. Well, his talent is undeniable. The gunslinger is a legend. Now please quit!
4. Joe Montana- Growing up, this guy was the icon. He has the rings to prove it.
3. John Elway- He may belong in the number 2 slot…but I just couldn’t do it. He was the best dual threat guy on this list. He didn’t look to be a runner, but his opponents would argue otherwise. He finally got his ring at the end of a Hall of Fame career.
2. Tom Brady- Sure, he is the recipient of a great system and Top 3 of all-time head coach. Yes, he has had an awesome o-line and a good defense. Oh, and for the last few seasons Randy Moss and Wes Welker haven’t been too bad either. However, he is a 1st ballot Hall of Famer that can boast a lot of rings and insane stats. Not bad for Drew Henson’s (who???)former back up.
1. Peyton Manning- For me, this is a no-brainer. Nobody has as much control over a team as he does. The way he commands the huddle and line of scrimmage is amazing. Hell, he could probably get away with firing the coach if he wanted to. Up until now, he has gathered some pretty significant jewelery and his trophy case is probably getting a little full. My guess, he will be adding to that come Super Bowl Sunday.
There is the truth, Nation. Your thoughts?

E
totally agree. I know a lot of people hate Peyton, but I love the guy. He took that team from nothing. I truly think he could make the Lions a 500+ team, that is the ultimate compliment. Plus, the intangibles, he has a brother in the NFL, great media fodder. He has awesome commercials, the guy is halarious in the sprint commercials. I am rooting for the colts just because I love to see him bark out audibles(sp?) at the line of scrimmage.
